Fall has always been my favourite season and every single year I’m getting super excited about it. Actually I don’t know why, considering the fact that I’m rather this ‚please take me to some warm place’ kind of person. But here in Warsaw heatwaves are officially gone for good and I’m not melting anymore. At least until the next summer. I’m not a huge fan of these gloomy days but when fall comes up I’m surprisingly full of beans almost every single day.
As you guys may know I started studying fashion & apparel design a year ago and studies requires as much creativity as possible. You always need to have a brand new ideas in your head which is not this easy to get and sometimes I just need to be alone for a little while to let myself focus on my own thoughts. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve always been a very sociable person who loves to talk to other people, getting to know their stories, etc. But when I need to do something important or I have a deadline (cause I usually cut things fine) then I always put my earphones on and isolate myself from the rest of the world. By the way when I’ve already raised this subject, for me there is almost nothing more inspirational than music. I’ve raised in the family where it has played a major role – both of my parents were dancers, I’ve also spent over 10 years of my life dancing and since then I feel like I just can’t survive a single day without listening to my favorite songs. My taste used to change over the years of course that’s why my Spotify playlist is kind of a mixture of totally different types of music. Starting with jazz (which I’m totally freakin’ about lately) and such artists as Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald or fantastic Nina Simone with her magnetic voice and ending with some rap with G-Eazy, A$AP Rocky or Zebra Katz in the lead. Just to complete this music rollercoaster ride, there’s also Nick Murphy f.k.a. Chet Faker, Banks, Tame Impala, The Weeknd and so much more. So as you guys may see, that’s a total hodgepodge, but apart from my current obsessions about some songs, there’s a lot of timeless classics which I’m not getting sick of even in the course of time. Never ever.
Moving on to an outfit, this time I decided to go more monochromatic. Navy blue shades were always one of my favorites and I still can’t help but wonder why people think combining it with black is such a faux pas. However, the weather that day was pretty good luckily, so I went for some retro inspired mule shoes for the very first and last time this season. I mixed them up with some cigarette pants which made the whole look more vibrant and cozy turtleneck. I think turtlenecks are worst childhood’s nightmare ever but in the fall time I really love to wear them (even instead of oversize cashmere sweaters) cause they’re very easy to combine, so warm and so sexy aren’t they?
Oh, and it’s already 3am again. I should probably get some sleep before an another exciting day. Don’t know if I would ever learn how to wean myself away from being a nighthawk. Anyway, goodnight! (or I should rather say ‚Good morning!’)
